Membership Descriptions
- Supporting Member – Listed as Supporting Member on the website with no extended listing. Receives discounts on sponsorship opportunities.
- Displaying Member – Able to display menus, brochures, business cards, etc. at the Visitor Center, as well as a complete website listing with photo, website link, phone number, map entry, and address. Prioritized listing on events calendar, social media, and display boards at Visitor Center. Priority access to event sponsorships. Receives deep discounts on sponsorship opportunities.
- Not-for Profit Member – All the benefits of a Displaying Membership with a reduced price for a nonprofit.
- Map and Visitor Guide Sponsorship – Sponsorship placement in the Map and Visitor Guide. 20-25,000 guides are printed each year and distributed at seven visitor centers state wide, at Thompson Island Visitor Center, Northeast Harbor Visitor Center, and local businesses, hotels, campgrounds, and B & B’s throughout Mount Desert Island. Small size is 1.5” x 2” and large is 3” x 2”.
Organization dues, except as noted below, may be deductible as professional or business expenses, to the extent allowable by law.
Dues and other contributions to local, state or national association are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income purposes.
